Location was good. Plenty of parking. Beds were comfortable. The Bar was good for drinks. We did not eat in the hotel so can’t comment on that. We did not go into the main part of the hotel much as our room had a separate entrance. Overall it was comfortable and for just a base to sleep in was just what we needed.

Great location, staff really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and we were all happy with room and hotel. We only stayed one night and for the price I couldn't complain about anything. Bus stops 2mins away to get to other parts of the lake district and we really enjoyed our stay.

Room was clean, bed and bedding was very comfy and the shower and bathroom was in good working order. We also absolutely loved the breakfast lots of variety and a nice affordable price and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. For us this hotel was great it was affordable clean and comfy just what we needed as we were out walking most days as you do in the lakes. We will definitely be returning.

On arrival the staff were polite, courteous and friendly. The room was fairly big and very clean and I could actually see the lake which was a pleasant bonus. The bar area looked very nice, though I didn’t use it because I wanted to get up early to go sightseeing. The breakfast we had before we left was very good. All in all a very enjoyable experience and I can’t wait to come back to see more of the lakes. The price you pay for what you get is exceptional.

Booked this hotel as it was the cheapest available in Windermere. However it was exceptional, the rooms are massive and very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also pub right next door which also serves food. However the hotel is only a 1 minute walk from the high street which has a host of bars and restaurants. Next time I am in the lakes I would definitely stay here again. ——————————————————————————— Do note if you want to walk to lake Windermere it is a 1.5 mile (~40 minutes) walk down a hill from the hotel.

Very clean and modern. After reading previous reviews, I was very anxious about staying here. Once we arrived, the anxiety left. We were greeted by a very friendly man, and check-in was quick. We stayed in room 122, which was modern and very clean. The view was lovely could see Lake Windermere on a clear day. We selected bed and breakfast, and the breakfast didn't disappoint. Buffet style, good choice, and very tasty. We also visited the Orrest Head Pub, which is located next door, which was a nice little pub to relax in after a full day exploring.

This is not my first stay at the Windermere Hotel, but be assured, it certainly won't be my last... Superb, clean, and comfortable room, with the hotel being in an ideal location for all of the towns amenities, transport links, and local walks. I wanted to give a huge thumbs up 👍 to Adrian C, and the rest of the team (who's names I always forget) for always giving me such friendly and professional service and making my visit to the Windermere Hotel an experience that should be commended on every level.
